Southwest-style Jade Ring

This isn’t a style I normally work in. The silver vibe in the American Southwest is really different from what Alaska feels like. The imagery and symbolism aren’t the same. These are obvious statements, seeing as how these are two very different locations. More than this reason is that it feels like appropriation to work in a style of a place and from a culture I haven’t lived.

That all being said, I still keep an open mind. When a custom order invites an opportunity to explore the shapes and forms of an established style, my curiosity does get the best of me, but it is only ever a glimpse of what the wider experience must be.
