Methane Ring

This ring is inspired by research in Alaska documenting the rapid release of methane in lakes due to melting permafrost. I’ve observed this phenomenon first-hand hiking around my home here in Fairbanks, Alaska. I still find the rate of release shocking. See the videos below to get a sense of just how quickly methane is escaping from the ground.
