Winter Texture Silver Statement Ring

This icy blue bevel-set chalcedony sits on a wide, textured sterling silver band. The electric blue color glows inside the stone in certain light.

I was inspired by the snowy textures of the Alaskan winter, and the cool blues of ice. Snow remains on the ground during the winter months in Interior Alaska. As the local weather changes, ice crystals grow on the top layer of snow between snowfall events to create delicate textures across the landscape

Chalcedony is a durable stone with a Mohs hardness of 6-7. The ring is made out of .925 sterling silver, and it has an oxidized patina to give the texture depth. The ring is a US-size 8.5, and the open-shank design provides a small level adjustability.
